Microchip AVR SD MCUs help users reduce their functional safety applications' cost and development time. Designed to comply with the ISO 26262 (ASIL C) and IEC 61508 (SIL 2) functional safety standards, these MCUs facilitate the certification of users’ end systems with a complete suite of safety documentation (FMEDAs, safety manual, DFA, compliance reports, and more). AVR SD MCUs offer built-in hardware safety features for fast and deterministic error detection, and they are accompanied by ASIL C/SIL 2-compliant software (safety framework) and safety-related software documentation.
