onsemi has a long history in the development of power semiconductors for motor control applications for appliance, consumer, and industrial applications. onsemi offers a wide variety of MOSFETs, gate drivers, power supply solutions, op-amps, and more tailored for cordless power tools.
Common cordless tools include drills, drivers, impact drivers, ratchets, cut-off tools, jigsaws, circular saws, reciprocating saws, sanders, angle grinders, multi-tools and more. Each tool has a different operating profile from the motor control's perspective. The block diagram below and description represent the basis for the circuitry.
