I-PEX® MHF® I LK Micro-Connector

GCT's cable assemblies with MHF I LK are perfect for harsh environment applications that are exposed to vibration and shock. A secure and reliable connection is provided with MHF I LK's uniquely integrated slide locking mechanism. This enhanced feature protects from potential issues of vibration and shock causing disconnection. The profile height of 2.9 mm when mated is lower than the standard I-PEX MHF I connector. The frequency is DC to 3 GHz and the PCB receptacle requires only 3.1 mm x 3.0 mm (9.3 mm²) PCB real estate.

The MHF 1 LK is fully intermateable with Hirose U.FL connectors providing compatibility for new and existing designs with no detriment to electrical, environmental, and mechanical performance.

There are four cable assemblies available with the I-PEX MHF I LK micro-connector, two of which are IP Rated Nautilus variants:

• Cable 319: I-PEX MHF I LK right-angle plug to SMA straight jack rear-mount IP67/68
• Cable 377: I-PEX MHF I LK right-angle plug to RP SMA straight jack reverse-polarity rear-mount IP67/68
• Cable 320: I-PEX MHF I LK right-angle plug to SMA straight jack rear-mount
• Cable 333: I-PEX MHF I LK right-angle plug to RP SMA straight jack reverse-polarity rear-mount

I-PEX MHF I LK requires a 9.5 mm minimum diameter exclusion zone around the PCB receptacle to accommodate the slide locking mechanism. The MHF I LK connector is a durable option for customers where connection integrity is important. When assembled with waterproof Nautilus connectors from GCT, the combination makes for a formidable package. Nautilus cable assemblies are also available with MMCX micro-connectors (such as Cable 391) and offer an alternative for a robust on-board connection.
