Position Sensors

KYOCERA AVX Corporation's position sensors are based on a selection of the optimum technology: specially developed advanced over-molding techniques, thermoplastics, and thermosets, for the application in combination with a suitable mechanical interface. Because of this, KYOCERA AVX offers sophisticated enclosure solutions for assemblies with integrated sensors.

Position sensors differ fundamentally between rotary and linear sensors, the mechanical interface required, and the packaging. Available with a shaft stub or shaft end, KYOCERA AVX's sensors provide accurate position signals, even in demanding applications.

Shaft stub mounting allows for the direct acquisition of shaft rotation from a position at the end of the shaft. When using a Hall-based design, a completely non-contact version without mechanicals is possible by installing the magnet on the application side.

Sensors with shaft end installed are made of a robust design and are suitable for a variety of applications. With the existing shaft stub, the sensor can be supplied with linkage on the application side or it can directly pick up the rotation information at the end of the shaft position of the rotation axis.
