Shown on this slide are some details about the software resources that TI is providing. On the right side is the Code Composer Studio, which helps support software development on the C553x platform. And on the left is shown the complete application level framework support for quick software development in target application spaces. TI will provide the software framework for USB audio class development to customers free of charge to benefit their development. It is an advanced complete framework for USB audio class development that is HID controlled. Texas Instruments will have the complete source code available for customers to download on the ti.com website. The software can also be executed on the C5535 evaluation board, enabling it to be used to play audio using a media player on the host and listen to it on the speakers. It can also be used to capture the audio from a microphone and record it on the host, with the DSP doing the synchronization between the host and the device. The HID software will allow the developers to add capabilities for volume up, down, and mute functions using buttons. Of course, there is also the Code Composer Studio software to support development, debugging, profiling, as well as simulation. TI also has libraries available for customers to leverage such as the chip support library, which helps completely abstract the hardware level and they can just program in high level. TI is committed to providing more and more software resources to customers to help them in their product development.
