Shown on this slide is an example of utilizing Z-Match in a 5GHz WiFi PA matching circuit. Z-Match values of 0.3pF, 0.7pF and 0.2pF are used for impedance matching. The same circuit with MLCC 0402 and 1005 caps was used for comparison purposes. EVM: the Z-Match circuit is about 1.5dB lower than MLCC 0402 and equal to the larger MLCC 1005. Gain: the Z-Match circuit is about 0.3dB higher than MLCC 0402 and 0.2dB higher than MLCC 1005.
